2013 Student Work (for 2014 Cover)
Four Commissioned Work songs told different stories around the theme of Flight in 2014. The mythological story of Icarus who flew too close to the sun, the true life story of Yves Rossy who flies around with a jetpack and the celebration of Nancy Bird (someone who has made a great contribution to Australian aviation). The last song, 'Take to the Sky', honours the entire history of flight.
In these entries, you can also see symbolism that reflects other pieces from this year - including 'New Tomorrow', 'Ease On Down The Road', 'Parallel Universe' and 'Talk of the Town'.
